The ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for talented students from around the globe to study at the Australian National University (ANU). This scholarship program aims to attract exceptional international students to join the ANU community, offering financial support to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Field of Study
The ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship is available for any eligible program (Undergraduate, Postgraduate coursework, Flexible double degree, Graduate Certificate, Master Degree), with the exception of the following:
- Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD)
- Master of Military and Defence Studies
Eligible Students
To qualify for the ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be classified as international students under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, with the exception of those holding a 995 visa (unless they are enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program).
- Have received an offer of admission to an eligible program at ANU.
- Meet the specific program conditions, including any requirements for onshore study components.
- Not have previously received this scholarship for the same level of study.
- Not be recipients of an external sponsorship that covers all or part of the tuition fees.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based purely on academic merit. The qualifications submitted for university admission will be assessed and ranked on a common scale to determine each applicant’s position on the merit list. For those with multiple qualifications, the ranking will be based on the qualification used as the basis for admission.
Scholarship Benefits
- Tuition Fee Reduction: Recipients will receive a reduction in tuition fees of either 25% or 50%, applied throughout the duration of their degree.
- Reduced Deposit: A reduced tuition deposit of AUD 10,000 is required instead of the standard amount listed in the admissions offer.
- Guaranteed Accommodation: First-year students are guaranteed accommodation if they choose to accept this benefit.
Application Process
No separate application is required for the ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship. All eligible international students applying for admission to the university will automatically be considered.
