About the Scholarship
The aim is to actively support master’s students both financially and professionally. This scholarship offers a unique opportunity to build a network, exchange experiences, and gain practical experience. Upon successful completion of the master’s degree, there is the potential to secure a permanent position at Volkswagen for a minimum of 2 years, depending on available roles.
Eligibility Requirements
- Students at German or foreign universities who have completed a bachelor’s degree OR
- Students who have not yet started the second semester of the master’s program
- Note: Part-time programs are not funded
There is no specific minimum grade requirement for your bachelor’s degree to apply for the master’s scholarship. However, your grades must be sufficient to qualify for a master’s program. Your bachelor’s degree marks will be considered during the selection process.

Scholarship Benefits
- Attractive Remuneration:
€950 monthly support to ease financial burdens during studies. Additional remuneration is provided for internships and thesis work. If an internship or thesis is undertaken at Volkswagen during the scholarship period, additional compensation is given for compulsory internships. Voluntary internships or working student activities are not funded during this time. - Study Without Pressure:
No mandatory assignments are required during the scholarship period. Focus solely on studies without additional obligations. - Events and Networking:
Connect with professionals through on-site and online events 2-4 times annually. These events include workshops, seminars, and departmental lectures, combined with enjoyable activities to foster a vibrant community. - Practical Experience:
Gain additional paid internship opportunities at Volkswagen to apply university knowledge in a practical setting. - Thesis Support:
Write a master’s thesis with Volkswagen, benefiting from direct practical relevance and on-site technical advice. Access to Volkswagen’s informational and technical resources is provided. Additional remuneration is given alongside the scholarship payment. - Mentoring:
Receive comprehensive support through mentoring. Mentors are available as contact persons to help with finding internships, thesis guidance, and career advice.
Transition to Employment
Upon completing the master’s degree, the Volkswagen scholarship ends, but the journey with Volkswagen can continue. Graduates with good degrees and suitable vacancies will receive a firm offer for a permanent position at Volkswagen, starting their career with an attractive salary and numerous employee benefits. Early discussions are held to clarify the preferred starting location and task within the Volkswagen team, allowing graduates to shape their career paths from the beginning.
